How do I rent a bike?

It couldn’t be easier to hire a bike from Mont Ventoux Cycling Club. Directly online or simply give us your dates, bike preference and we’ll handle the rest.

What’s included with a rental bike?

Our bike rental includes all those items : helmet/repair kit/flat pedals/rear red light/lock.
In your repair kit you’ll get: one tube/couple patch/one pump/2 tire levers.
We rent Look Keo pedals and Shimano SPD MTB pedals but quantities are limited so please book them prior.

What documents do we need as a guarantee/caution?

An official document such as a driving licence or a passport/ID card must be left at our store for the duration of the rental period.

Who do I contact for assistance/support on the road?

If you have a problem during your bike rental, you can call us at any time.

Mont Ventoux Cycling Club can help out if you have language difficulties with locals and provide you support if you get any issue on your bike ride.

What is the earliest that we can collect a rental bike?

We are open from 9.30am to 6pm. All bikes can be collected and returned to our store during these opening hours.

If needed you can collect your rental bike the evening prior (between 5pm and 6pm) for an extra cost of €10.

Do you offer a special group price?

Of course we do. We apply a 10% discount for groups of more than 6 people.

Do you deliver your rental bike?

We might be able to deliver your rental bike for an extra cost and also depends on availability so please book prior.

What happens if I damage a rental bike?

You are liable for all damage that occurs to the rented bike (even if it’s not necessarily your fault) except damage caused by natural use.

Treat your rental bike as yours.

What if a bike gets stolen?

When your rental bike gets stolen, you are liable for the financial damage. When you lock your bike properly it is very unlikely it will get stolen. You can choose for the option of theft insurance. With the option theft insurance you can buy off this risk. Check the bike rental page for the insurance rates.

Are the bikes insured against theft?

No, when you rent a bicycle you are liable for theft. The risk of theft is small when you use the locks the way we will instruct you. With the option theft insurance you can buy off this risk. Check the bike rental page for the insurance rates.

If needed we can insure the bike for your stay at 2 € a day. With this insurance you’ll get a 50% discount for the entire bike or 30% per element of the bike.

What bike do you recommend to climb Mont Ventoux?

All of our road bikes are set-up for the mountains with gearing that allows someone with a good level of fitness to climb Mont Ventoux as well as other passes in the area.

Do you accept Credit Cards at your store?

We accept credit cards (Mastercard/Visa/Amex) at our store. We also offer the possibility to book and pay on our website.

Can you check or repair my own bike?

Yes we have a workshop at our store and we can take care of it. For more information contact us directly.

Do you sell accessories, spare parts and energy foods/drinks?

Of course, you will find a wide range of bike and nutrition items in our store to equip you.

Cancellation policy?

For reservations cancelled more than 1 week before arrival have a 100% refund of deposit.
If the cancellation is less than 1 week before arrival there will be no refund.
